Never overlook the little things that make the world amazing. Today I woke up at 6 got dressed went to school and sat through two hours of English Lit and never really looked around me. Brittany's hair was amazing, Vicki got braces and my best friend was tremendously hurt. It's possible to go through the entire day completely asleep. Sure, you can get me up, dress me and make me do my work through the day, but inside, my brain is still fast asleep. My advice? Don't. Who knows what you could miss? Keep your eyes open. God made this world so beautiful that any person who's brain is awake can't resist at least stopping to smell the roses once. He also tries to protect the evils from this world.
Your best friend since kindergarten could just be falling in love with you. The little kids next door could have been beaten all night by an abusive mother's boyfriend. Your family could be falling apart all around you and youd never know until you looked up and saw what was left. You might pull so far back from reality so far and so painfully that it hurts to try to come back. Use your experiences to fight for God and help him save the beautiful world that he has created. Be his servant.
Never forget what its like on the outside. And never forget to stop and check the cracks in the cement for the roses that bloom against all odds.
